Pastor Anthony L. Gordon

Born on March 19th, 1961 he grew up attending Rose Olivet Missionary Baptist Church in San Francisco, California. In October of 1983 he gave his life to God and 2 years later he received his calling into Ministry. In August of 1993 he was Ordained to be a Deacon. By this time Anthony was married and had 4 children. Although he was an active deacon at the church, he knew God had called him to a higher level of ministry. However because he was quite content with teaching instead of preaching he felt he would eventually become a pastor on his own time which resulted in him neglecting the will of God over his Life. He found himself becoming consumed by ministry work and started to lose focus on what was transpiring at home and as a result his marriage had come to an end.This caused him to realize that he now wanted to do things God’s way. But the transition from self-gratification to the glorification of God was a struggle for him because now he desired to preach but God had put a hold on him. God limited him to only teach messages about Lordship and the importance of following God’s will over one’s life until he, himself, fully realized the importance of the message he continually shared with his fellow saints. In 1998 he left his childhood church home and moved on to New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, California.
